Kit Carson House
Kit Carson House was a home of frontiersman Kit Carson in Taos, New Mexico, United States. It is operated now as a house museum. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1963.〔〔 and 〕〔Note: A National Register of Historic Places Inventory-Nomination document should be available upon request from the National Park Service for this site, but it appears not to be available on-line from the (NPS Focus search site ).〕

Kit Carson, who died in Colorado, was buried in Kit Carson Park and Historic Cemetery in Taos.〔〔(Kit Carson Park and Historic Cemetery. ) Town of Taos. Retrieved July 23, 2014.〕 The 19 acre park is 1 1/2 blocks north of the Taos Plaza on Paseo Del Pueblo Norte. Aside from the cemetery of noteworthy residents of Taos, it is a park and picnic areas with facilities for walking, tennis, basketball, soccer and jogging.〔
